Ivan Bradley is the ROP instructor for the Graphic Communications, Video Production, and Computer Animation and Modeling at Atascadero High School. This is Ivan’s eighth year with the Greyhounds following nine years at Lincoln High School and six years at Nevada Union High School where he taught similar courses for 49er R.O.P.

Prior to that time, he taught part-time at College of the Redwoods, Eureka for nine years where he wrote and taught at various times seven graphic arts courses. He was instrumental in establishing the current Graphic Communications AA degree and certificate programs at the college.

He also has eighteen years experience working as an employee and supervisor of the pre-press department at Eureka Printing Company, a commercial printing company.

Mr. Bradley has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Humboldt State University, and a Master of Education, Computers in Education degree from Lesley University of Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has been honored with a number of recognitions including being named PCOE “Teacher of the Year” for 1995, ACSA “Teacher that Makes a Difference” 1998, and selected as PCOE Mentor Teacher in 1993-94, 1998-99 and 1999-2000. In 2002, he was named 49er R.O.P. “ROP Teacher of the Year,” and was a finalist for the California League of High Schools “Educator of the Year” for Region 10. His Graphic Communications program received a Program of Excellence Award from the California Department of Education – Vocational Education Division (CDE) in 1994. The CDE again honored the program in 2005 by selecting it as a ROP Model Program. It, along with the Video Production course, qualify for Fine Art credit for application to UC and CSU colleges and universities.

In addition to teaching at Atascadero High School, Mr. Bradley teaches graphics courses part-time for Cuesta College, is a lecturer professor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and has been an instructor of online courses for the Art Institute.
